A few months ago, We noticed something interesting.
Modern test automation has become incredibly powerful, yet one part of the user journey is still surprisingly painful to automate: email workflows.
Things like: Account verification, OTP authentication, Password resets, Magic links, Invitations, Transactional notifications
Most teams end up polling email APIs, maintaining flaky scripts, parsing HTML manually, or simply skipping these scenarios altogether.
The result? Critical user journeys often go untested.
So we started building Trivumo.
Trivumo is a developer-focused email testing platform that makes email workflows a first-class part of your end-to-end tests. Instead of treating emails as an external dependency, your tests can generate inboxes, wait for incoming emails, extract OTPs or verification links, validate content, inspect attachments, and continue the user journey, all through simple APIs and SDKs. The goal isn't just to test emails.
It's to reliably test the complete user journey from clicking "Sign Up" to verifying the account, resetting passwords, or logging in with a magic link inside your existing automation framework.
I'm still in the early stages and actively talking to QA engineers, developers, and automation teams to understand how they're solving this problem today.
